FAQs

I don't see a particular book on your website, do you have any in stock?

All books we have for sale at present are  listed on the website - we do our utmost to keep this site as up to date as possible.  We don't carry complete publishers backlists - we stock a carefully selected collection of hard to source, rare and out of print books that most other bookstores can't supply.  Many of the books we sell are not just great books, they are solid investments that are likely to rise in value over the years.

I just ordered a book, when it will be shipped?

We aim to ship most orders within 3 working days of your order, sometimes much quicker. We usually email to let you know when your book order ships.

Will my books be well packaged?

Unlike certain book retailers, we want you to receive your order in the same condition it left us here.    We strive to package all books as securely as possible with generous amounts of bubble wrap, before being put inside custom made book boxes.   We know how frustrating it is to receive damaged books - we ourselves unfortunately receive books on a weekly basis that have not been well packaged by publishers.

My book hasn't arrived yet, when can I expect it?

As a general rule, books shipped to the UK should be received within 7 working days, EU/USA orders within 14 working days and order to other countries within 21 days.  Often though books will be received much quicker, particularly large orders which are sent by express courier.  Should your books not arrive within these time frames, please contact us as soon as possible.  Rest assured that all orders are insured, and incomplete orders will be replaced or refunded.

Can you give more information on a book listed on the site?

Yes, of course.  If you would like further information on any title, we will be happy to advise.  We will also gladly take photos of any book we stock within 48 hours, if you would like to check the condition.

Can I drop by and browse your books, or pickup my order?

I regret that we are an online store only, and personal visits are not possible.
