Shipping information

- All orders are packaged with ample packaging materials to ensure your books arrive in perfect condition.   We use sustainable packaging options with all books are throroughly wrapped in corrugated cardboard or biodegradable bubble wrap, and then placed inside a cardboard book mailer.  

- We aim to ship orders for in-stock books within 5 working days of order placement, unless otherwise stated.  Note that orders containing pre-order titles will be held for shipping until all books are available

- Mainland UK orders ship by DPD Local Next Day service or Royal Mail Tracked 48. Orders to Northern Ireland and the Highlands are by Royal Mail Tracked 48. 

- International orders are shipped by Royal Mail International Tracked or Signed services depending on country availability.  Larger international orders are sometimes shipped by courier.  International transit times vary greatly but typically books take 14-21 days to arrive, but sometimes longer as delays vary from order to order, country to country.  These delays are beyond our control, and please bear this in mind before ordering.

- Sending parcels to EU countries since July 2021 has become a challenging environment for non-EU businesses.  As always we endeavour to minimise customers duty and tax burden upon arrival in their country, but all customs charges and taxes levied by customs authorities must be borne by the recipient.  We offer a subsidised pre-paid duty service to customers in Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland and Netherlands at no extra cost.  Whilst not guaranteed, most shipments to these countries should carry any duty or tax charges.   

- Shipping costs are for packed weight of books.  Please note we make a yearly loss on shipping once we consider the ample packaging materials which we use!  See our latest shipping charges (updated March 2023) here:
